




Day 1: Arrive Colombo
Upon arrival at Bandaranaike International Airport, complete the immigration formalities and proceed to Colombo (Approx. 35 km / 1 hr). After check-in, visit the revered Gangaramaya Temple and the tranquil Seema Malaka Temple, beautifully situated on Beira Lake. Spend the remainder of the day at leisure. Overnight stay in Colombo.
Day 2: Colombo – Anuradhapura
After breakfast, drive to Anuradhapura (Approx. 205 km / 4–5 hrs), Sri Lanka's first ancient capital and one of the holiest Buddhist pilgrimage destinations. Visit the sacred Sri Maha Bodhi, believed to have grown from a sapling of the original Bodhi Tree under which Lord Buddha attained enlightenment, followed by Isurumuniya Temple, renowned for its ancient rock carvings and peaceful surroundings. Overnight stay in Anuradhapura.
Day 3: Anuradhapura – Mihintale – Anuradhapura
After breakfast, explore the UNESCO-listed sacred city of Anuradhapura, visiting the magnificent Ruwanwelisaya Stupa, Thuparamaya, Jetavanaramaya, and Abhayagiri Monastery. Later, proceed to Mihintale (Approx. 13 km / 20 mins), revered as the birthplace of Buddhism in Sri Lanka, where Arahat Mahinda introduced Buddhism to King Devanampiyatissa. Visit Mihintale Raja Maha Viharaya, Aradhana Gala, and the sacred monastery complex before returning to Anuradhapura. Overnight stay in Anuradhapura.
Day 4: Anuradhapura – Polonnaruwa
After breakfast, drive to Polonnaruwa (Approx. 105 km / 1.5–2 hrs), the medieval capital of Sri Lanka and a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Explore the remarkable Gal Vihara, Polonnaruwa Vatadage, Rankoth Vehera, and the Sacred Quadrangle, showcasing some of the finest examples of ancient Sinhalese Buddhist architecture. Overnight stay in Polonnaruwa.
Day 5: Polonnaruwa – Dambulla
After breakfast, proceed to Dambulla (Approx. 70 km / 1.5 hrs). Visit the UNESCO World Heritage-listed Dambulla Cave Temple (Golden Temple), home to five magnificent cave shrines featuring centuries-old murals and over 150 statues of Lord Buddha. Spend the remainder of the day at leisure. Overnight stay in Dambulla.
Day 6: Dambulla – Mahiyangana
After breakfast, travel to Mahiyangana (Approx. 100 km / 2.5 hrs). Visit the sacred Mahiyangana Raja Maha Vihara, one of Sri Lanka's Solosmasthana (16 Sacred Buddhist Sites) and traditionally believed to mark the location of Lord Buddha's first visit to the island. Spend time exploring this peaceful pilgrimage destination before checking into your hotel. Overnight stay in Mahiyangana.
Day 7: Mahiyangana – Kandy
After breakfast, drive to Kandy (Approx. 75 km / 2–3 hrs). Visit the revered Temple of the Sacred Tooth Relic (Sri Dalada Maligawa), one of Buddhism's most important pilgrimage sites, believed to house Lord Buddha's sacred tooth relic. Later, enjoy a peaceful stroll around the scenic Kandy Lake before returning to your hotel. Overnight stay in Kandy.
Day 8: Kandy | Departure
After breakfast, you may offer final prayers at the Temple of the Sacred Tooth Relic before proceeding for your onward journey.
