

HIMACHAL PRADESH
Day 1: Arrival in Amritsar – Local Sightseeing & Rest
Upon arrival at Amritsar Junction or Airport, you will check into your hotel and begin exploring the spiritual and cultural heart of Punjab.
Start with a visit to the iconic Harmandir Sahib (Golden Temple), a serene spiritual complex surrounded by the sacred Sarovar. From here, take a short 1 km drive (5 minutes) to Jallianwala Bagh to witness the historical memorial site. Later, enjoy a 3 km drive (10 minutes) to Wagah Border, where the evening flag-lowering ceremony showcases patriotic energy and synchronized military drill between India and Pakistan.
Return to your hotel for dinner and overnight stay in Amritsar.
Day 2: Amritsar → Dharamshala
After breakfast, begin your 200–210 km journey (4.5 to 5.5 hours) toward Dharamshala.
A refreshing break is taken near Ranjit Sagar Dam, approximately 110 km (2.5 hours) from Amritsar, where you can enjoy scenic water views. Continuing further, you may optionally visit Kangra Fort (75 km detour, ~2 hours), known for its ancient stone architecture and panoramic valley views.
The final 20 km (45 minutes) ascent leads you into Dharamshala. Check into your hotel and enjoy a peaceful evening in the Himalayan foothills.
Day 3: Dharamshala & McLeod Ganj Local Sightseeing
Begin your day in McLeod Ganj, the Tibetan spiritual hub.
Visit the Tsuglagkhang Complex (Dalai Lama Temple), followed by a short 500-meter walk (2 minutes) to Namgyal Monastery. Next, drive 2 km (10–15 minutes) to Bhagsu Nag Waterfall and visit the nearby ancient Bhagsu Temple.
Later, take a 6 km drive (20 minutes) to the HPCA Cricket Stadium, one of the most scenic stadiums in the world. Spend your evening exploring Mall Road McLeod Ganj before returning to your hotel.
Day 4: Dharamshala → Dalhousie via Khajjiar
After breakfast, depart for Dalhousie (120–130 km, ~4 hours total).
En route, visit the beautiful Khajjiar Lake, known as the “Mini Switzerland of India,” located 95–100 km from Dharamshala (~3 hours). Enjoy meadows, pine forests, and optional horse riding.
Continue 5 km (15 minutes) to Kalatop Wildlife Sanctuary for a short forest walk and Himalayan views.
Finally, drive 17 km (45 minutes) to reach Dalhousie. Check in and relax for the evening.
Day 5: Dalhousie Local Exploration
Begin your day exploring colonial charm and scenic viewpoints.
Visit Panchpula Waterfall, followed by Subhash Baoli, known for its peaceful surroundings. Later, explore St. John’s Church and St. Francis Church, reflecting British-era architecture.
Spend your evening strolling on Mall Road Dalhousie, enjoying cafés and local shopping. Overnight stay in Dalhousie.
Day 6: Dalhousie → Manali (Long Scenic Drive)
After breakfast, begin a long but scenic drive of approximately 340–390 km (9–10 hours) toward Manali.
The route passes through Chamba Valley, Mandi, and Pandoh Dam, offering multiple photography stops and river valley views.
Arrive in Manali by evening. Check into your hotel in Old Manali and relax near riverside cafés before dinner.
Day 7: Manali Local Sightseeing
Explore Manali’s cultural and spiritual highlights within a short radius.
Start at the wooden Hadimba Devi Temple, followed by a 500-meter walk to the Museum of Himachal Culture & Folk Art. Continue 3 km (15 minutes) to Vashisht Hot Springs Temple, known for natural hot water baths.
Later visit the Himalayan Nyinmapa Buddhist Monastery before spending your evening at Mall Road Manali for shopping and local food.
Day 8: Solang Valley & Adventure Day
After breakfast, head 14 km (45 minutes) to Solang Valley, famous for adventure sports.
Enjoy optional activities like paragliding, ropeway rides, snow scooter rides (seasonal), and skiing in winter.
If open seasonally, you may also visit Atal Tunnel & Sissu Valley extension for dramatic Himalayan landscapes.
Return to Manali for an evening at leisure.
Day 9: Manali → Shimla
After breakfast, depart for Shimla (250–270 km, ~7–8 hours).
The route passes through Kullu Valley, Aut Tunnel region, and scenic pine forests. Arrive in Shimla by evening and check into your hotel.
Enjoy a relaxed walk on The Ridge and Mall Road Shimla, soaking in colonial-era charm and mountain views.
Day 10: Shimla → Kufri → Chandigarh Departure
After breakfast, take a short 16 km drive (45 minutes) to Kufri, known for panoramic Himalayan views and adventure parks.
You can enjoy horse riding, Himalayan Nature Park, or simply admire the snow-covered peaks (seasonal).
Later, begin your 110 km descent (~3.5 hours) to Chandigarh Airport, arriving at least 2 hours before your scheduled flight for departure, marking the end of your Himalayan journey.
