Day 1: Arrival in Puducherry – French Heritage & Promenade

Upon arrival in Puducherry, begin your relaxing coastal getaway surrounded by French architecture, seaside promenades, and vibrant cafés.

Explore the charming French Quarter (White Town), known for its colorful colonial buildings, boutique cafés, art galleries, and tree-lined streets. Visit the peaceful Sri Aurobindo Ashram and the historic Basilica of the Sacred Heart of Jesus.

In the evening, after 6:00 PM, enjoy a leisurely walk along Promenade Beach (Rock Beach), passing landmarks such as the Gandhi Statue and the French War Memorial while soaking in the refreshing sea breeze and lively atmosphere.

Day 2: Auroville, Serenity Beach & Auro Beach

After breakfast, drive approximately 15 km (30 minutes) to Auroville, the internationally renowned experimental township dedicated to peace and human unity.

Visit the Matrimandir Viewing Point and learn about Auroville's unique philosophy and sustainable way of life. Explore artisan boutiques, handmade paper workshops, pottery centers, organic cafés, wellness communities, and cultural spaces.

Later, visit Serenity Beach, located approximately 6 km (15 minutes) from Auroville, known for its laid-back atmosphere, surfing activities, and scenic coastline. Continue to nearby Auro Beach, a peaceful shoreline ideal for relaxation and photography.

Return to Puducherry in the evening.

Day 3: Chunnambar Backwaters & Paradise Beach

After breakfast, enjoy a relaxed morning at leisure exploring local cafés, the charming streets of White Town, or the Pondicherry Botanical Garden, known for its lush greenery and peaceful atmosphere.

After lunch, proceed to Chunnambar Boat House, located approximately 8 km (20 minutes) from the city center. Board a scenic ferry ride through the backwaters to reach Paradise Beach, one of Puducherry's most beautiful coastal attractions known for its golden sands and tranquil surroundings.

Spend the afternoon relaxing by the beach, enjoying water activities, photography, and scenic coastal views before returning to the city in the evening.

You may spend your final evening in Puducherry exploring local markets, handicraft stores, and cafés.

Day 4: Puducherry to Mahabalipuram – UNESCO Heritage Trail

After breakfast, check out from your hotel and drive approximately 100 km (2–3 hours) to Mahabalipuram, a historic coastal town renowned for its UNESCO World Heritage monuments and ancient Pallava architecture.

Visit the iconic Shore Temple overlooking the Bay of Bengal, followed by the remarkable Five Rathas, Arjuna's Penance, Krishna's Butter Ball, and the ancient rock-cut cave temples.

Spend the evening exploring local handicraft markets, coastal viewpoints, and seaside cafés while enjoying the relaxed atmosphere of this heritage town.

Day 5: Mahabalipuram – Departure

After breakfast, check out from your hotel and prepare for your onward journey.

Depending on your departure schedule, you may enjoy some leisure time exploring Mahabalipuram's beachside atmosphere, local handicraft shops, and traditional stone-carving workshops before proceeding to your destination.

Later, transfer to Chennai International Airport, approximately 55 km (1–1.5 hours) away, or your preferred onward destination.
