Day 1: Arrival in Bodh Gaya – The Land of Enlightenment

Upon arrival in Bodh Gaya, transfer to your hotel and complete the check-in formalities.

 After some relaxation,Begin your spiritual journey with a visit to the sacred Mahabodhi Temple, a UNESCO World Heritage Site marking the place where Lord Buddha attained enlightenment. Spend time near the revered Bodhi Tree and experience the serene atmosphere of this sacred pilgrimage destination.

In the evening, explore the temple complex and surrounding monasteries.

Overnight stay in Bodh Gaya.

 

Day 2: Bodh Gaya – Sacred Buddhist Sites

After breakfast, enjoy a full day exploring the spiritual landmarks of Bodh Gaya.

Visit the Great Buddha Statue, Sujata Temple, Muchalinda Lake, and various international monasteries established by Thailand, Japan, Bhutan, Tibet, Myanmar, Sri Lanka, and Vietnam. Spend time meditating and soaking in the peaceful surroundings of Buddhism's most sacred site.

The remainder of the day is at leisure for personal prayers, meditation, or further exploration of the temple complex.

Day 3: Bodh Gaya to Varanasi (Approx. 260 km | 5–6 hrs)

After breakfast, proceed to Varanasi, one of the world's oldest living cities and a major spiritual center of India.

Upon arrival, visit the sacred Sarnath, where Lord Buddha delivered his first sermon after attaining enlightenment. Explore the historic Dhamek Stupa, Mulagandha Kuti Vihara, and the ancient monastery ruins.

In the evening, witness the mesmerizing Ganga Aarti at Dashashwamedh Ghat.

Overnight stay in Varanasi.

 

Day 4: Varanasi to Kushinagar (Approx. 230 km | 5–6 hrs)

After breakfast, drive to Kushinagar, one of the four principal Buddhist pilgrimage sites.

Upon arrival, visit the sacred Mahaparinirvana Temple, housing the reclining Buddha statue that marks the place where Lord Buddha attained Mahaparinirvana.

Continue to the revered Ramabhar Stupa, believed to be the cremation site of Lord Buddha. Explore the international monasteries and meditation centers established by Buddhist communities from around the world.

Overnight stay in Kushinagar.

 

Day 5: Kushinagar to Lumbini (Approx. 170 km | 4–5 hrs)

After breakfast, proceed to Lumbini in Nepal, the birthplace of Lord Buddha and one of the most sacred pilgrimage destinations for Buddhists worldwide.

Visit the UNESCO World Heritage Site Maya Devi Temple, marking the exact birthplace of Siddhartha Gautama. Explore the Sacred Garden, Ashokan Pillar, and various international monasteries built by Buddhist nations from around the world.

Spend the evening in the peaceful surroundings of this revered pilgrimage site.

Overnight stay in Lumbini.

 

Day 6: Lumbini to Sravasti (Approx. 200 km | 5–6 hrs)

After breakfast, drive to Sravasti, one of the most important Buddhist pilgrimage centers associated with Lord Buddha.

Visit the sacred Jetavana Monastery, where Lord Buddha spent many monsoon retreats and delivered numerous teachings. Explore the monastery ruins, meditation gardens, stupas, Gandhakuti, and Anandabodhi Tree.

Later, visit the international monasteries and temples established by Buddhist communities from various countries.

Overnight stay in Sravasti.

 

Day 7: Sravasti to Lucknow (170 km | 4–5 hrs) – Departure

After breakfast, proceed to Lucknow.

Upon arrival, transfer directly to Lucknow Airport or Railway Station for your onward journey.

The tour concludes with cherished memories of the sacred Buddhist pilgrimage trail covering the sites associated with Lord Buddha's Enlightenment, First Sermon, Mahaparinirvana, Birthplace, and Monastic Retreats.
